It’s not every day that a romantic afternoon tea makes the BBC headlines, but for one couple’s leftovers, that’s just what happened last week.
Originally reported as a potential art installation, or written off as the remains of an abandoned meal irresponsibly left behind in the forest.
However, it soon transpired the extravagant and lavish table setting was in fact that of a bespoke website. Who had been providing a romantic date for a deserving pair of lovebirds and had promptly cleaned up after the couple had left.
Well, at least we hope the gesture paid off in the way it was intended. After all, the table was left adorned with champagne glasses and the remnants of a luxury meal for two. Although we should point out, the company in question cleared up as intended, leaving the forests of Langdale as they had originally found it.
