It’s not just the Autumn mist that makes Halloween in the Lake District somewhat spooky. After all, there’s a whole lot of other goings-on over the coming weeks too! Although fear not, as while the ghosts and ghouls are out for October half-term, the little ones will soon be back at school.
As such, while there are plenty of fun things to do while visiting Cumbria, this time of year isn’t just about Halloween!
Halloween in the Lake District
Things to do in the Lake District over the next few days:
- The Brockhole Halloween Experience
- Night-time Wildlife Adventure
- Halloween at Holker Hall
- Halloween at Muncaster Castle
- Ghost Walks with Lakeland Hauntings
At Brockhole, the house and grounds are turned into a week-long festival for all things spooky from pumpkin carving to storytelling. Albeit aimed at more child-friendly affair.
Meanwhile, the Cumbria Wildlife Trust return with a number of events. Although, our favourite during Halloween week is that of the night-time walks as you keep an eye out for low-flying bats.
Both Holker Hall and Muncaster Castle are popular attractions and we’d strongly recommend visiting either during your spa break. Although for the rest of this week, remember it’s still half-term, so you may wish to leave it until after the weekend!
As for something a little more adult orientated, join the Lakeland Hauntings group after dark to see what tales can be unearthed. Taking place in both Cockermouth and nearby Keswick, ideal activities during Halloween in the Lake District.
Last-Minute Halloween Spa Breaks
Earlier this week we announced some last-minute availability, producing overnight bed and breakfast spa breaks. Allowing a handful of lucky couples, the chance to take advantage of some much-needed pampering.
The nights may be getting shorter, but even without all Halloween antics, a last-minute spa break is certainly more a treat than a trick! Simply follow the Aphrodites Group on social media for further details. Whereby if the opportunity should arise, you too may soon find yourself relaxing in a hot tub spa suite in the Lake District.
Alternatively, if you’re not one for taking advice from the spirit world and prefer to plan ahead, then we’re taking bookings throughout the year. As such, not just for the rest of 2021 where availability allows, but into the New Year too.
Aphrodites Group Spa Hotels
If you’re spending Halloween in the Lake District this year, why not stay a little longer and spend some time with the Aphrodites Group? We have a range of hot tub spa suites at three luxurious properties in and around Bowness-on-Windermere. If you’re not planning on going anywhere this weekend, then how about planning ahead for next year instead? Go on, the spa break will do you good.
